HOW TO FIND AND CHOOSE A NURSERY FOR YOUR CHILD

Before choosing a nursery for your baby/toddler, you will need to invest lots of time and energy in researching to make the best choice. There are so many things to consider before making the decision. Here are 4 important techniques to consider

    1. Make a list of the nurseries you found on the internet, in magazines and by asking around.
    2. Cut the list down and schedule visits to the ones that made the cut. Meet the director, teachers and other caregivers in person. Ask a few questions and pay attention to their responses. Ask about their policies, rating (Educational rating if it applies), feeding systems, early learning process and how they ensure the safety of the children under their care. It is important to ensure that they are warm towards the kids and have all the experience needed for proper child handling.
    3. Next, take your child along for another visit to the nurseries shortlisted. Watch how she responds and connects with the caregivers and other kids. This will help you make a better decision.
    4. Keep in mind that a good nursery isn’t always about flashy new buildings, great books and toys, beautifully decorated walls or even being very affordable. It is essential that you feel comfortable with the environment (this includes hygiene and safety), also form a good rapport with the teachers and caregivers who are going to be spending lots of time with your toddler.

After going through the above process, decide, choose a nursery and trust your instincts. Wishing you the best of luck!
